Honey and chamomile moisturising toner

What is toner? There are different interpretations of what toner actually is. In this case, this beautiful, homemade toner will help sooth your skin and moisturise it at the same time. I am going to share with you a very simple recipe with just 2 ingredients that you would usually use to make tea (honey + chamomile). In the skincare routine, toner is typically applied right after you wash your face and before you apply your facial oil and/or moisturiser.

You will need:

1. Honey: In skincare nomenclature, honey is known as a humectant, which is a kind of a moisturiser that draws moisture onto the skin. By adding this in our recipe, we can help our skin maintain its moisture.

2. Chamomile: Chamomile will be used to help soothe and calm our skin.

3. Water

How to make:

- 1 cup of water

- 1 tbsp dried chamomile flowers (or 1 bag of chamomile tea)

- 1 tsp honey

Pour boiled water into a mug and add the chamomile and honey. Steep for ~10 minutes and remove the chamomile flowers/chamomile tea bag. Pour into a clean bottle and store in the fridge for up to 10 days.

How to use:

After cleansing your face, apply the toner onto a cotton pad and gently wipe your face. Then follow with your usual face oil/serum/moisturiser as needed.

Stay safe,

x
