What is clay? Which clay is the right one for your skin type?

Clay is an ingredient that can provide deep cleansing and detoxification to your skin. It can remove excess sebum, toxins and other environmental impurities from your skin. As environmental pollutants come in contact with your skin, they can be stored in the pores and lead to inflammation and allergic reactions. Using a clay mask will leave your skin feeling refreshed, clean and less inflamed, resulting in a brighter complexion.

There are different types of clay that work best on different skin types. If you have sensitive or normal skin, you should use a clay that will not strip your skin of its natural fats. Kaolin clay is one of the mildest clays available, as it gently cleanses the skin without removing too much sebum and without causing skin sensitivity. Its mild exfoliating properties help remove dead skin cells and impurities from the skin, reducing blemishes.

If you have oily or acne prone skin, green clay and bentonite clay are great at removing excess sebum and leaving you with a matte and healthy complexion. They help to clear clogged pores, eliminating pimples, white spots and acne thanks to its cleansing properties that remove impurities and toxins.

If you have combination skin, it would be good to use a combination of clay on different areas of your face according to the above, depending on whether your face is more oily or sensitive in some places.

Our purifying clay mask is a combination of kaolin and bentonite clay. The percentage of each clay in our product ensures that your skin and pores are gently cleansed without stripping away all the natural fats that your skin produces. We have also included sweet almond oil in the formulation, to ensure that your skin is left feeling soft and soothed after cleansing it.

Using the right clay for your needs will ensure a beautiful and healthy skin. Over time, and with continued use, you will inevitably notice that your pores become smaller and your skin is healthier and more radiant.

Love,

HT xx
